Introducing Matcha Mist

A Fresh Green Birth Pool in a Box

Birth Pool in a Box Matcha Mist is a soft green personal birth pool, available in Mini and Regular sizes with a fitted liner included. The new colour brings a nature-inspired option to the range, combining an understated look with the practical features families need when preparing their chosen space for labour and birth.

At Edel Immersys, we know that choosing a birth pool involves more than deciding where it will fit. Families also think about how they want their surroundings to look and feel, who will be with them and the practical preparations that will help them get ready.

Following the introduction of our white Birth Pool in a Box, Matcha Mist gives parents another colour to consider. Its gentle green finish offers a different way to make a birth space feel personal, while keeping the focus on the people using it.

Meet Matcha Mist, the new soft green option in the Birth Pool in a Box personal pool range.

A softer green for your birth space

Colour is a personal choice. Some parents are drawn to a bright, familiar blue, while others prefer a quieter palette. Matcha Mist sits comfortably among soft whites, natural wood and warm neutral colours, making it an option for anyone who would like a green birth pool with a subtle finish.

You do not need to redesign a room around it. A few familiar details, such as your own music or a favourite photograph, may be all you want to bring into the space. The pool becomes one part of those preparations rather than the starting point for a long decorating checklist.

For families who choose to photograph their birth experience, Matcha Mist also offers a gentle backdrop. The aim is simple: more choice in how your surroundings look, with room for your own preferences.

Practical features behind the new colour

Matcha Mist keeps the purposeful design of the Birth Pool in a Box Personal Pool. An inflated floor provides cushioning, a built-in seat offers somewhere to rest, and integrated handles give you places to hold as you change position. A cupholder keeps a drink close to hand.

The pool is made from 0.38 mm Eco PVC and is free from cadmium, lead and latex. It has independent air chambers, and both sizes come with a fitted disposable liner. These details are set out on the Matcha Mist product page, alongside the full specifications.

When comparing pools, look beyond the colour to the details you will use. Think about the available space, the positions you would like to try and the people who will be supporting you. Your midwife can help you discuss how a pool might fit into your birth plan.

Choosing between Mini and Regular

Matcha Mist is available in two sizes. The Mini has a smaller footprint, while the Regular provides more interior space. Choosing between them starts with measuring the room where you plan to use your pool.

  • Mini: external dimensions of 165 × 145 cm and internal dimensions of 114 × 94 cm. A useful option when floor space is limited.
  • Regular: external dimensions of 193 × 165 cm and internal dimensions of 142 × 114 cm. This is the larger option if you would like more room, including space for a birth partner to join you.

Both sizes include a seat, cupholder and one fitted liner. You can compare them in the Birth Pool in a Box size guide.

Remember to consider the surrounding room as well as the pool itself. Discuss the proposed position with your midwife and think through access, your water supply and how the pool will be emptied. Choosing the larger model is not automatically the right answer; the best fit is the one that works with your space and agreed plans.

Getting ready before the day

A little preparation makes it easier to understand what is involved before you need your pool. The Birth Pool in a Box planning guide covers choosing and clearing your space, gathering essentials, protecting the floor and practising inflation and filling.

Involve your birth partner or support person in those preparations. Working through the instructions together gives them an opportunity to learn the equipment and raise any practical questions in advance. It also helps you decide who will handle each part of the setup.

The Matcha Mist pool-and-liner product should not be confused with a complete accessories bundle. Check what is included in your chosen purchase and what you already have before ordering any extras.

Always follow the supplied instructions and your maternity team’s advice. Discuss whether labouring or giving birth in water is appropriate for your individual circumstances, and keep your plans flexible if your needs change.
